Procurement Sr. Associate

Growth Factor is a global growth-focused value-creation entity which provides portfolio operations support to two investment entities: Bregal Investments and Cofra Holding direct investments. The team is comprised of both generalists and specialists covering portfolio companies across North America and Europe.

The ideal person will possess exceptional analytical capabilities, enabling them to conduct comprehensive evaluations of spend cubes. This role involves close collaboration with Portfolio Company CFOs and finance teams to meticulously scrutinize all procurement expenditures. The Procurement Associate is responsible for supporting the procurement process, including sourcing, purchasing, and managing vendor relationships. The role requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. 

The role will primarily focus on:
Process enhancement: Identify opportunities for process enhancement across various FP&A functions such as order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, and record-to-report. (Example: Implement automation tools to streamline the procure-to-pay process, reducing manual errors and processing time.)
Cost efficiency programs: Drive and support initiatives to optimize costs and identify opportunities for profit improvement. (Example: Implement cost-saving measures such as renegotiating vendor contracts or consolidating procurement processes to achieve cost efficiencies.)

Salary range: $50k-$65k

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed analytics on spend cubes to optimize procurement strategies.
• Collaborate with Portco CFOs and finance teams to evaluate and optimize procurement costs.
• Engage with select Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs) to leverage collective buying power.
• Negotiate favorable terms with vendors on behalf of all portfolio companies.
• Cultivate and manage preferred vendor relationships to benefit both and its portfolio companies.
• Coordinate complex procurement initiatives to ensure global coverage and maximize Portco benefits.

Requirements: 

• 4 + years in procurement and vendor negotiation for private and public companies.
• Ideally exposure to B2B tech & recurring revenue business models.
• Demonstrable ability to work across multiple sectors.
• Strong executive presence and ability to project manage engagement & present to C-level executives.
• Strong MS office skills (excel financial modeling, PowerPoint) and market research.
• Passionate about value creation, problem solving, and execution.
• Operating, Turnaround Management, and Restructuring experience is a plus but not required.
• Strong financial and accounting acumen (CPA license is a plus but not required)
