Accounting & Administration Director

Our client, a leading automotive company is hiring an Accounting &
Administration Director. This position is responsible for preparing accurate
financial and administrative reports, ensuring effective control of
accounting operations, and delivering timely, reliable financial statements
through analytical and detail-oriented work.

Base salary commensurate to candidates experience plus fringe benefits

Responsibilities:

• Leads, trains, evaluates, and develops accounting staff to ensure
  high performance and a productive work environment.
• Oversees monthly closings, journal entries, reconciliations, and ensures accuracy of financial data including income, expenses, and adjustments.
• Prepares and files tax reports and regulatory filings in compliance with local and federal requirements.
• Monitors departmental budgets, coordinates annual economic closings, and ensures compliance with external audits and financial institutions.
• Implements accounting system modules, trains personnel, and designs strategies to optimize fiscal policies and accounting processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, preferably with a concentration in accounting or a related field; Masters degree and/or CPA preferred.
• 8+ years of professional experience in similar accounting and
  supervisory roles.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for building effective internal and external relationships.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet tools, and accounting software such as CDK and preferably Sage.
