JT019- INJECTION MOLDING SET UP TECHNICIAN

Responsibilities:

• Perform mold installation, removal, and changeovers on plastic injection molding machines according to production schedules.
• Set up and adjust machine process parameters to ensure product quality and operational efficiency.
• Execute machine, mold, and auxiliary equipment set-ups prior to production start-up.
• Verify proper operation of molds, cooling systems, and production equipment.
• Perform production start-ups and make process adjustments to meet quality specifications.
• Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot process deviations as needed.
• Identify and resolve issues related to molds, equipment, and manufacturing processes.
• Perform material and color changeovers in accordance with production requirements.
• Complete documentation related to mold changes, process parameters, and production activities.
• Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, and Production departments to optimize processes and minimize downtime.
• Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, waste reduction, and process efficiency.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma required; Technical Degree in Mechanical Technology, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience in mold setup, machine setup, or plastic injection molding operations.
• Knowledge of plastic resin processing parameters and injection molding processes.
• Experience troubleshooting manufacturing equipment and making process adjustments.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, procedures, and technical documentation.
