Design Engineer, Growth

Responsibilities

• Own the craft and implementation of Ambrook’s marketing, landing, activation, checkout, and retention surfaces.
• Build and maintain the marketing design system, component libraries, motion patterns, and reusable interaction systems.
• Design and ship high-quality web and mobile experiences from high-fidelity prototypes through production.
• Increase experiment velocity by enabling other teams and setting a high bar for visual and interaction quality.
• Partner with growth, marketing, sales, product operations, and customer success to drive funnel outcomes.
• Instrument growth surfaces, measure experiments, close the data loop, and report results.
• Conduct quality audits and participate in customer discovery calls and feedback sessions.
• Champion data hygiene, operational security, and privacy practices.
• Review peer code, contribute to team meetings, help evaluate and interview candidates, and write about shipped work.

Requirements

• 4+ years building high-quality web and mobile experiences, including at least 2 years working on marketing surfaces or growth problems.
• Strong design instincts and the ability to take high-fidelity Figma prototypes to production independently.
• Advanced frontend skills, including clean and performant code, modern development workflows, animation, and responsive implementation.
• Extensive experience building or owning component libraries and design systems.
• Ability to define measurable experiments before implementation and use data to evaluate outcomes.
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally and independently unblocking work.
• Product sense, customer empathy, lightweight copywriting ability, and judgment around marketing and activation flows.
• Interest in current AI development tooling and thoughtful application of it in daily work.
• Enthusiasm for building software that supports more sustainable and profitable industries such as agriculture.
• Preferred: experience in agriculture, financial products, TypeScript, React, React Native, Next.js, or a headless CMS such as Sanity.
