*General Job Description:*

The Senior Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Officer provides oversight and coordination for the design, implementation, and evaluation of the School of Medicine's (SoM's) quality improvement initiatives. The role promotes a culture of continuous assessment, data-informed decision-making, and accountability across academic and administrative units.

Reporting to executive leadership (the Dean of the SoM), the Senior CQI Officer ensures that institutional processes, outcomes, and services comply with strategic priorities, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements. The role integrates institutional data, stakeholder collaboration, and systematic review processes to enhance performance and organizational effectiveness. It develops, implements, and monitors CQI policies, procedures, and performance standards to ensure institutional effectiveness and accountability; coordinates preparation for accreditation reviews, reporting, and site visits; participates in and/or chairs institutional committees, task forces, or councils related to CQI, accreditation, and assessment; oversees performance metrics, supports assessment processes, and maintains alignment with accreditation and quality assurance standards; prepares and presents periodic CQI dashboards, reports, and recommendations to the Dean and other executive leadership.

The Senior CQI Officer works closely with academic leadership, Student Affairs, Institutional Effectiveness, and administrative units to monitor performance indicators, identify areas for improvement, and facilitate the implementation of evidence-based solutions that strengthen program quality and student outcomes. The role supports data governance efforts by ensuring the integrity, consistency, and appropriate use of institutional data for CQI and reporting purposes.

*Minimum Qualifications and Experience Requirements: *

* Master's degree in health sciences, public health, quality improvement, evaluation, higher education, organizational leadership, or a related field required.
* Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in quality improvement, program evaluation, institutional effectiveness, accreditation, or compliance.
* Experience in healthcare, higher education, or similarly regulated environments.
* Experience supporting accreditation processes and regulatory compliance (e.g., MSCHE, LCME, or equivalent).
* Knowledge of continuous quality improvement methodologies (e.g., Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) cycles, outcomes assessment).
* Track record in data analysis, assessment processes, problem-solving skills, and CQI implementation.
* Familiarity with statistical or analytical software (e.g., SPSS or equivalent).
* Experience with learning management systems and data platforms (preferred).
* Competence to lead cross-functional initiatives, work independently, and as part of a team.
* Proficiency in the use of computer systems and office applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite), project management tools, and online meeting platforms.
* Proficiency in Spanish and English.
