The Senior IT Specialist is responsible for the administration, maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of the organization's IT infrastructure, security posture, and end-user support services. This role serves as a senior technical resource, providing leadership in the implementation of best practices, cybersecurity initiatives, infrastructure projects, and operational support while ensuring high availability, reliability, and security of enterprise systems.

Education

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field.
Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.

Minimum Years of Experience

5 to 8 years of progressive experience in Systems Administration, Infrastructure Support, Network Administration, Cybersecurity, or related IT functions.

Key Responsibilities

Administer, maintain, and support enterprise infrastructure environments
Monitor systems, networks, and security platforms to ensure optimal performance and availability
Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex infrastructure and cybersecurity incidents
Implement security best practices and compliance requirements
Coordinate server, network, and security upgrades
Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and knowledge base articles
Participate in infrastructure planning, architecture discussions, and technology recommendations
Mentor junior IT staff and provide technical guidance when required
Support disaster recovery, business continuity, and cybersecurity initiatives
Participate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours support when necessary
