The Universidad del Sagrado Corazón AmeriCorps VISTA Project strengthens the capacity of community-based initiatives that address poverty through volunteer engagement, food security, education, community partnerships, and organizational sustainability. VISTA members serve with multiple units and community partners to develop sustainable systems, expand volunteer resources, improve community services, and build long-term organizational capacity. The VISTA Leader supports the success of the project by coordinating member development, facilitating communication, mentoring VISTA members, assisting with onboarding and training activities, promoting collaboration and the sharing of best practices, and supporting project management. Working closely with the VISTA Program Director and site supervisors, the Leader helps strengthen member engagement, improve coordination across project sites, and enhance the overall effectiveness and sustainability of the AmeriCorps VISTA project.

Member Duties : The VISTA Leader will serve under the guidance of the VISTA Program Director to coordinate and support AmeriCorps VISTA members serving across multiple project sites. The Leader will provide peer mentoring, facilitate communication, assist with onboarding and training activities, coordinate regular member meetings, promote collaboration and the sharing of best practices, and help members identify resources to successfully complete their service. The VISTA Leader will assist with recruitment efforts, support project management activities, monitor member progress, and serve as a liaison between members, project supervisors, and the Program Director. Through leadership, coordination, and member support, the VISTA Leader will strengthen organizational capacity and contribute to the successful implementation and sustainability of the AmeriCorps VISTA project.
