Centro Margarita, Inc.

The program focuses on the areas of Education and Capacity Building. Through their service, AmeriCorps members will have the opportunity to reinforce instructional strategies, prepare educational materials, facilitate learning activities, and support socio-emotional activities designed to strengthen emotional regulation, communication skills, interpersonal relationships, conflict resolution, and positive behavior. As part of the program's capacity-building efforts, AmeriCorps members will also support the Center in increasing awareness of its services and activities through digital media. In addition, members will assist with the collection, organization, and entry of program data; support the preparation of reports based on information provided by personnel who deliver direct services to participants; and assist with document organization and filing. These activities will help strengthen the Center's educational services, program documentation, data management, and overall organizational capacity.

Member Duties : Record the data collected and generate reports on the services offered to children and young people with developmental disabilities. Creation of activities focused on socioemotional aspects, physical and educational development for children and young people with deficiencies. Exhibit through digital media the services and activities carried out at the Margarita center. Record the data collected and generate reports from the personnel who offer direct service to the participants of centers. Data entry and document filing activity.
