Summary
The Associate Engineer applies technical engineering knowledge and an understanding of business objectives and manufacturing operations to support activities within a specific manufacturing engineering discipline.
Responsibilities
- Support and take ownership of manufacturing engineering technical tasks that may involve multiple inter-coordinating elements.
- Apply engineering principles to manufacturing operations and technical assignments.
- Anticipate and identify technical issues and provide recommendations for resolution.
- Apply creative problem-solving approaches when established methods or precedents may not exist.
- Evaluate the potential impact of technical solutions on other systems, processes, or components.
- Participate in technical peer reviews to confirm engineering approaches and project direction.
- Support verification and validation activities and associated technical reviews.
- Collaborate with peers, mentors, manufacturing personnel, and cross-functional teams.
- Support manufacturing objectives while maintaining applicable engineering and operational requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
- 0–2 years of experience in an engineering discipline; advanced education may be considered toward the required level of skill.
- Understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing operations.
- Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to identify technical issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Ability to work effectively with peers, mentors, and cross-functional teams.
- Exposure to verification and validation activities preferred.
- Ability to manage technical assignments with increasing levels of ownership and independence.
- Must be willing and available to work 2nd Shift on-site in Caguas.
