About the Role
*Encanto Restaurants* is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical *Accountant* to join our Finance team. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting the monthly close process, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Record and analyze accounting transactions in accordance with company policies.
* Prepare bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reconciliations.
* Assist with monthly and year-end closing activities.
* Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports.
* Monitor and analyze expenses, revenues, and budget variances.
* Support internal and external audits.
* Ensure compliance with accounting principles, internal controls, and applicable tax regulations.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the accuracy of financial information.
* Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
* Minimum of two (2) years of experience in general accounting.
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
* Experience working with ERP systems or accounting software such as Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, or similar platforms.
* Knowledge of bank reconciliations, account analysis, and month-end closing procedures.
* Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Experience in the restaurant, retail, hospitality, or multi-unit industry is a plus.
* CPA license is preferred but not required.
